SUKMA XXI SARAWAK 2024
Malaysia Games 2024 also known as the 21st Malaysia Games (XXI) is a sports event that will be held in Sarawak. This is the third time that Sarawak has hosted the Malaysian Games (SUKMA), since the first time in 1990 and the second time in 2016, and after Sarawak in 2024, in 2026 it will be the turn of the (National Sports Council) MSN, and Kelantan will have a turn in 2028, to add time for preparations for the Malaysian Games.
In 2023, Sarawak was chosen as the host of the 2024 Malaysian Games (SUKMA) after being unanimously approved by the Malaysian Sports Supreme Committee to host the biennial sports. The committee chaired by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Hannah Yeoh, said that Sarawak’s selection for organizing SUKMA next year was also guided by a rotation system. Place In 2023, the Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, is ready to allocate, in Sarawak’s preparations, as the host of the 2024 Malaysian Games. A meeting has also determined that this event will be held in eight parts of Sarawak, namely Kuching, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sibu, Mukah, Bintulu and Miri to ensure that the excitement can be felt by the people throughout the state except for the track bike event that will be held in the Peninsula Malaysia.
